The AFAA network
The École nationale des chartes - PSL developed a network of partners from higher education establishments, heritage institutions and representatives of national and international associations to build archive and archivist capacity to act and operate in Africa, and to implement degree courses tailored to the needs of the public and private employment sector, and research institutions.
In 2023, the Action de Formation Archives et Afrique (AFAA) network became the Unesco Chair: ‘Les Archives au service des Nations et des Sociétés africaines’ (Archives in the service of African Nations and Societies).
