The School's Publications
The School has an original publishing policy in the humanities and social sciences, reflecting the diversity of its teaching and specialist areas. It now boasts a catalogue of nearly 300 titles, in print and digital form, divided into different collections:
- Magister, a collection of textbooks designed to provide reference works in the School's specialist disciplines (palaeography, philology, diplomacy, history of law, history of books, history of art, etc.);
- ‘Mémoires et Documents’, a collection dating back to 1896 that includes monographs based on theses by former students, as well as major collective works;
- ‘Études et Rencontres’, results of collective research;
- ‘Matériaux pour l'Histoire’, a large-format collection of lavishly illustrated volumes;
- ‘Propos’, a collection of short essays on themes central to the School's specialist fields, designed for a readership of curious and enlightened amateurs;
- ‘Études et Documents pour une Gallia Pontificia’ published jointly with the German Historical Institute in Paris.
In addition, there are special or co-published works, as well as the annual collection of Positions des thèses soutenues par les élèves pour obtenir le diplôme d’archiviste paléographe (abstracts of theses defended by students to obtain de degree of palaeographer archivist) (also available online).
These books are distributed by FMSH-Diffusion, mainly through the Comptoir des Presses d'Universités. In addition, the School's publications have been present on the OpenEdition Books platform since 2018, with around forty titles available in open-access HTML format.

CTHS publications
The CTHS has been publishing works for research and higher education since 1834. Every year, they publish around fifteen new works. They are disseminated by AFPU-Diffusion and distributed by Sodis.
These books are available in bookshops and can be ordered directly from the CTHS. They are regularly presented at book fairs (the Rendez-vous de l'Histoire de Blois, the Festival d'Histoire de l'Art de Fontainebleau, etc.) and are the subject of public presentations (as part of the ‘Quatrième de couverture’ lecture series, for example).
Abundant co-publications demonstrate the CTHS's ability to create solid partnerships with prestigious institutions and publishing houses.
Conference proceedings are available free of charge in PDF formaton the CTHS website or through partnerships with the Persée or OpenEdition portals.
